PCMIS Privacy Notice
Your privacy is important to us, and so is being transparent about how we collect and use the information you share with us.
Information collected via web forms
A site visitor may be asked to provide personal information when requesting a service. For example, visitors requesting a demonstration of PCMIS technology are asked to complete an online form.
By supplying this personal information, the visitor consents to PCMIS storing the information for the stated purpose. The information is held by PCMIS in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018.
PCMIS, under Data Protection laws, will be the ‘Controller’ of any personal information that you provide to us. We only collect basic personal information about you, which does not include any special types of information. This does however include your name, email address, organisation and may include your work phone number when requesting a response from PCMIS.
Legal basis for processing (why we collect and process your information)
Our legal basis for processing this information is the Legitimate Interest that PCMIS hold as a business, in sharing with you the products and services we offer. We believe that contacting you for specific and carefully considered purposes, related to case management solutions and health care technologies, can benefit you and your organisation.
Whenever we process your information for these purposes we will ensure that we always keep your personal rights in high regard and take account of these rights.
How we use the information we collect
All the information we collect is processed by our staff in the UK. For the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA) by Mailchimp, our Email Marketing provider, and by Salesforce, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) provider.
We will use the information we collect to send specific and carefully considered marketing communications, related to PCMIS products and services, specific to case management solutions and health care technologies. Email or postal communications (where postal information has been collected) will only be sent when we think their content will be of interest to you.
No third parties have access to your personal information unless required by law and no personal information will be sent outside of the EEA.
How long we keep your information
We will keep your basic personal information (name, work contact details) for as long as you wish to continue to receive communications related to our products and services. You can opt out of receiving further communications at any time using the unsubscribe option at the bottom of our emails.
In the event that you or your employer organisation become a contracted client of PCMIS, you may be added to a client mailing list and recorded as a client contact on our database (in Salesforce).
Changes to the way we process your information will be made explicit during any contract negotiation and implementation periods.
What are your rights?
Right to be informed You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal information. Anywhere PCMIS are asking you to provide personal information you will be able to view a version of this privacy notice.
Right to access You have the right to request access to your personal information as collected and processed by PCMIS. To request access to your personal information please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Right to rectification If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information by emailing email@example.com.
Right to object You have the right to object to your information being processed. Your right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes is absolute and you can exercise this right at any time. To raise an objection please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Right to erasure You have the right to request that PCMIS erase your information. To request erasure of your information please contact email@example.com.
We will respond to all requests related to the above, promptly and within one month of receipt. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal information not in accordance with data protection law you can inform the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was made EU law on 25th May 2018.
Post Brexit, the GDPR has been kept in UK law as the UK GDPR.
The new data protection regulations have been designed to strengthen existing data protection laws, by expanding the rights of individuals to control how their personal information is collected and processed and places new obligations on businesses to be more accountable for data protection.
PCMIS is committed to the new regulations and recognises the importance and responsibility of protecting personal information.
